STRETS is a Portuguese brand created as an alternative for ordinary summer shoes.

Handcrafted in Spain using the typical "alpargata"  techniques, STRETS are made in natural linen and biodegradable rope. Its differentiated design and sustainable fabrics make STRETS the perfect fit for a smooth walking experience, while helping to preserve the world we live in.

Our STRETS were inspired in 2018 at a little hometown fair near Barcelona. One of our founders was studying there when he realized how big the "alpargata" fashion was in Spain.

He began to think if he could bring that culture to the warm weather of Portugal. So he decided to bring a few pairs of "alpargatas" to show to some of his hometown friends. They rapidly sold out! There was something there. And after a few changes to the conventional design, STRETS was born.

While studying in Barcelona, one of our founders realized how big the "alpargata" fashion was there. He began to think if he could bring that culture to the warm weather of Portugal. So he decided to bring a few pairs of shoes to show to some of his hometown friends. They rapidly sold out! There was something there! We believe that people are run, not only by their thoughts and beliefs, but by their everyday mood. Whether we like it or not, our mood plays a huge role in our daily lives. Many times, it's the one calling the shots. That's why we have to take care of it. We have to adapt to the mood of each day. We have to wear it.
